JOB TITLE: Restaurant host - Waiter / Waitress

Heath House Kitchen is an independent restaurant. Launched in May 2021, we have gained a great reputation for food and service. All food is cooked from scratch by our highly expereinced kitchen team.   The restaurant is a relaxed and family friendly. We place a huge emphasis on providing our customers with a warm welcome and a high level of friendly and caring customer service.  

Your role as a restaurant host is to welcome and engage with our guests, providing them with information and looking after them in a friendly, caring and professional manner. The role involves taking orders for food and drinks, serving alcohol, taking food and drinks to the tables and clearing tables, cleaning and resetting.

Whilst we all have our own specific duties related to our skills and expertise, it is expected that we all ‘muck-in’ and undertake the general duties that we can all do, for example, washing dishes, cleaning and other similar tasks.

No experience is necessary but prior experience is an advantage

The roles includes, but is not limited to:

• Preparing the restaurant for service, eg setting tables, restocking fridges, cleaning tasks
• Welcoming guests
• Providing guests with information about the menu, allergens, alcohol
• Taking and processing orders
• Carrying food and drink
• Serving alcohol
• Preparing bills and taking payments
• Cleaning, washing up, and ‘closing’ tasks restaurant
• Upholding the licensing laws and licensing objectives
• Supporting team members in the back of house team

• Reliable, hard working, honest, and immaculately presented. Successful applicants will have a great personality, be articulate, and have the ability to engage with our guests and provide a high level of customer service and care.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• The ability to learn quickly and apply information.

IF you are over 18, the role will involve serving alcohol.

If you are under 18 you can still apply but will not be permitted to serve alsochol.

Consequently we require proof of age for all applicants.  Acceptable documents are valid passport or photo driving license. [Contact if you do not have these documents] You must also provide proof that you have the right to work within the UK.

Turning 18 soon? If you are under 18, you can still apply, you just wont be able to serve alcohol until after your 18th Birthday.
