JOB TITLE: Kitchen Assistant - Cleaner

Heath House Kitchen is a new restaurant which launched on 20^th May 2021. All food is freshly prepared and cooked onsite using a wide range of ingredients.  The restaurant is a relaxed and family friendly. We place a huge emphasis on providing our customers with a warm welcome and a high level of friendly and caring customer service.  

Your primary role is to deep clean the kitchen.

This involves deep cleaning on and under all surfaces / shelves / cooker / fridges / equipment to a high standard in line with health and hygiene requirements.

The cleaning involves de greasing and scrubbing / sanitising / sweeping / mopping.

It also involves tidying and organising food items.

The ideal applicant will have already worked within a kitchen environment and have a good knowledge of health and hygiene requirements – however this is not essential as full training can be given.

The roles includes but is not limited to:

• Deep clean and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
• Remove all items from shelves, clean shelves using two stage method, and replace items so that they are tidy and organised
• Help to clean, degrease, sanitise, sweep and mop behind the cookers and fridges
• Washing, drying and appropriately storing all crockery, glassware, cutlery, cooking equipment, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
• Empty and clean any receptacles which are used to store equipment – eg cutlery trays / tubs used for storing cutters / wooden spoons etc
• Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors – including deck scrub
• wiping down kitchen tiles and splash backs.

Reliable, hard working, honest,good time keeping, positive attitude to work, dedicated. Good communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to learn and apply information. High levels of personal hygiene. Good attention to detail.

We need to ensure that all staff are old enough to work so all applicants will be asked to provide proof of their age. Sunday: Start time will vary but will typically be 4:30pm to 8:30pm These times are approximate as shift length will vary depending upon need.
