COVID-19 is acquired in 2 principle ways
Everyone can protect themselves
If you are experiencing any of the following COVID 19 Symptoms please telephone to postpone your booking.
Government guidance states “from 17 May, you will be able to serve customers in groups of 6 people or 2 households of any size indoors”. Our online booking system will allow you to book a maximum of 6 people. Parties of more than 6 people will be asked to confirm that they are from no more than two households.
In order to remain within our capacity limits, and maintain social distancing all bookings will be staggered. We ask guests to pre-book tables and to arrive promptly. Walk-ins will be accepted where capacity and safety allow but we strongly encourage guests to pre-book.
Government guidance requires all guests to wear facemasks upon arrival and until seated unless they are medially exempt or unless they are under the age of 11. Diners are permitted to remove face masks when they are seated at the table.
We are legally required to collect contact details for all guests who are over the age of 16. Guests can sign in using the NHS test and trace QR code. Guests who do not have a smart phone will be asked to provide contact information. We are required to keep this information for 21 days.
On arrival, we will ask guests to sanitise their hands, sign into the building using the QR code or by providing contact information. Guests will then be shown straight to their table. All food and drink must be ordered at the table.
Guests will be required to wear face masks whenever they leave their table, for example when visiting the toilets.
We will check that the exit is clear before guests leave their table. This will avoid contact between guests in the entrance hall.
We have always maintained a very high level of cleanliness and hygiene. In order to keep guests safe, we have increased the frequency of cleaning, ensuring that touch points are routinely cleaned.
Daily cleaning schedules will pay particular attention to touch points.
Ventilation is one of the best ways of reducing airborne transmission so we will regularly ventilate rooms for short periods of time. This will be done in such a way as to minimise any disruption to guests.
Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance and exit to the building. Additional sanitiser and wipes will be available within bathroom areas.
Laundry bins will be regularly disinfected.
All linen will be soaked in sanitiser before being laundered. Laundry will be washed on site at the highest appropriate temperature.
Menus will be single use.
Tables will be deep cleaned between customers. All linen will be soaked in sanitiser before being laundered. Wherever possible, tables will only be used once per night. Where this is not possible, a longer period of time will be allocated between sittings.
Wherever possible, we will encourage guests to pay by contactless payment methods.
Card machines will be sanitised after every use
Staff will be trained to sanitise their hands before and after using the till and card machine, and to sanitise the equipment after every use.
Napkins, cutlery and glasses will be delivered to the table as soon as guests are seated.
Government guidance on limiting the spread of COVID 19 requires a minimum of 1 metre plus mitigation.
Mitigation includes face masks, arranging seating so that guests from different groups are not facing each other
Tables will be spaced to ensure that they comply with the 1 metre plus mitigation guidelines
Staff will maintain a distance of more than 1 metre when interacting with customers, and will wear facemasks at all times.
The building does not lend itself to a one-way system, so guests will be advised on their nearest exit, and nearest toilet facilities. We will manage the flow of people through the building, and advise guests when exits are clear.
Our staff have always maintained an impeccable standard of personal hygiene. These are the additional steps that we will take to keep staff and guests safe
All staff will complete a return to work questionnaire
All staff will receive COVID training before returning to work
Staff will check their temperature upon arrival at work. If the temperature exceeds 37.8, they will be sent home, advised to get a test and follow government guidance.
Staff are required to wash their hands as soon as they arrive at work and frequently during their shift. This will be for a minimum of 20 seconds, following the 9 step rule as laid out in the safer food better business manual.
Staff will be given face coverings and will be required to wear them at all times. Disposable masks will be available as contingency.
Staff are trained to maintain social distancing as much as possible whilst working, to wear facemasks at all times and to minimise face to face contact.
All work wear must be washed after each shift and face masks must be freshly laundered each day.
Delivery drivers must wear a face covering at all times.
